I grew up in a time where corporal punishment was the normal method of discipline in both the home and the Catholic school I attended.
I was pretty much a ‘goody two-shoes’ and never got in much trouble at school. One reason was the reputation that the nuns had – and the promise from my mother to match any spanking I received at school with one as severe, if not more so, when I got home.
