Joy is a mother of two boys in New Zealand. At the time of this interview, the children were aged six and eight respectively – and the country had yet to enact its ban on corporal punishment.
You are what I would characterise as a very strict mum, because you have two fairly young boys yet I believe you use the cane? What made you decide to use that implement on quite little bottoms?
