Alma is a mother of three and grandmother to four. She comes from a large and loving Jewish family with its roots in the city of Leeds, UK. As well as her own parenting experiences, Alma also spoke to us about her working life before her marriage in the early 1970s, as a nursery worker. Note that as Alma’s grandchildren were still youngsters when we spoke, we did not discuss them at all in accordance with Maman’s policy.
