My mother was very strict when I was a young lady living In Connecticut. Once, I stole the lipstick from her purse on the kitchen table. You know how little girls are when they want to dress up and put make-up on. Well, my mom appeared in the doorway and couldn’t believe her eyes!
There was lipstick all over her nice clean room, and all over her normally clean-cut child. My mother wasn’t the type of mother that would find this funny. She marched me right into the bathroom and cleaned me up with a moist face cloth. It wasn’t very pleasant – as she smudged the caked-on lipstick off my face, she pressed unbelievingly hard.
