I remember once witnessing a punishment given to my older sister Jenny. At the time it occurred, she was 13 years old and I was 10.
I was reading a book in the sitting room when I heard Mom scolding Jenny. “Go to the bathroom, naughty child,” Mom said angrily. “Take a shower and come back downstairs dressed in your pyjamas, so that I can give you a sound reddening.”
