You might think that the practice of smacking, particularly in the UK, had more or less died a death. I certainly thought so, especially given the appalling behaviour of far too many children these days.
However, I was proven wrong a little while ago when visiting my local supermarket for my weekly ‘big shop’. I was about to enter the main store when I realised that the relatively cold morning had left me with the urgent need for a wee. Fortunately they have customer toilets, so I decided to pay a visit before beginning my shopping, as it would be easier than when I was loaded down with shopping a bit later.
